Interpersonal Skill 1 - Questioning
This ranks as the ‘number 1 skill’ without doubt. However, whilst in normal conversation we ask questions to become more informed; in coaching the purpose of questioning is to heighten the client’s awareness, sharpen their focus, and to stimulate realisation of their own responsibility. This will lead to them finding their own answers, and to owning the process.
